Excepcionales!!!

Today we tried a restaurant in Vila de Cruces that truly stands out for its originality. The tomato salad with red berries and nuts was especially good — full of flavor and substance. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the vinegar was just a touch too strong, but overall it was delicious. The “lágrimas de cerdo” (pork strips) were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. They came with homemade fries — the kind that are getting hard to find these days. To my taste they were a bit greasy, but it’s the nature of this meat. The croquettes were homemade and varied, wonderfully crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside — a perfect combo. The octopus croquette, in particular, caught my attention. I had never tried one before and found it both delicious and refreshingly original. The turbot was fresh and really tasty — a great choice if you’re into quality fish. Service was impressively fast, and they even surprised us with a small gift of a bar of chocolate at the end — a lovely detail that made the experience even better. A great place if you’re looking for homemade dishes, warm service, and solid cooking in a small Galician town. Definitely worth a stop!
